Hello, my name is Christa Smith.
I started this company in January of 1997 with the concept of using web
technology to assist parents and teachers with educational needs.
There will be many changes to this site over the next year. I hope
that you enjoy and utilize this site to its fullest potential.
Educational Background:
University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Master's of Arts
Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Bachelors of Science
Degree in Education.
Dual degree in Elementary Education/Special Education
with emphasis in Mild to Moderate Handicaps.
Recent Work Experience:
Educational Consultant, 1996-Present
Special Education Coordinator/Teacher, Cheney Elementary
School 1992-1998
Management of teaching and special
education coordinating areas.
Developed, maintained and monitored
Individual Educational Plans (IEP) for each child within Special Education.
Met with teachers, parents and child
to develop the most appropriate educational goals for the child.
Assisted parents and teachers in all
areas of need to better attain the highest level of functioning for the
child at school and home.
Tutored students of varying ages (elementary
to high school) and need in all academic areas.
Worked with students having low communication
levels by using adaptive equipment to better achieve communication.
